This qualification is designed for learners who have already undertaken intermediate study in tourism and wish to acquire higher level skills in communications and marketing, strategic leadership, sales and distribution, designing a hospitality or tourism business, business analysis and sustainable Māori tourism. This programme provides learners the skills to enter the tourism workforce, or to complete the Degree in Travel and Tourism in just one additional year.

Domestic Students
All domestic applicants must:
Have a Level 5 qualification in travel or tourism
Have achieved a high level of attendance in previous courses
Note: an entry assessment may be required. This is to determine your ability to read and understand textbooks and the ability to write an essay.
International Students
All international applicants must:
Be a minimum of 18 years of age on day 1 of their course
Have completed Secondary School offshore, New Zealand Year 12 or have equivalent work experience
Have English language proficiency as outlined in the International Page on the NZST website
