This qualification is designed for learners who want to acquire the skills to work as a pharmacy technician, including relevant laws for dispensing medications, dispensing techniques, and professionalism and support techniques. This programme enables learners to enter the workforce as a technician, or progress into further study.

Our Pharmacy Technician course gives you practical learning on campus and will teach you all the key skills and pharmaceutical knowledge you need to start your career.
Ākonga must:
All applicants must be aged 18 or older.
Applicants must hold the New Zealand Certificate in Pharmacy (Introduction to Pharmacy Practice) (Level 3) [Ref: 1886] Or equivalent skills and knowledge of working in a New Zealand pharmacy and hold a secondary/tertiary qualification at NZQF Level 3 or equivalent.
Have an acceptable New Zealand Police vet check prior to the beginning of practical experience.
Applicants with English as second language may need to demonstrate sufficiency in English language via Internal Evaluation Test.
International students additional to the above must meet the following criteria:
An academic or General IELTS score of 6 is required with no band score lower than 5.5 or equivalent Internationally Recognised English Proficiency test. IELTS 6.5 is highly recommended to be successful in the programme due to the high level of technical content in the programme; and an interview may be required.
International students must have travel and medical insurance and a valid visa.
