What made you decide to do your programme at NZMA?

I was at High School and I wasn’t too sure what I would do. I had some family members who had done some courses at NZMA, and I thought I would give it a try, and take a step closer towards a career.

What did you learn on the programme which helped your journey into work?

I learnt a lot about the behind scenes work in hospitality.

What did the Careers & Employment team do to help you move into your first job?

The team gave me more confidence in myself, and encouraged me to apply myself to a job. Sometimes that’s all you need to hear!

What is your job and who do you work for?

I’m working at the Front of House for Delaware North Company, a global leader in hospitality and food service management.

What do you enjoy about your current job?

I love meeting so many new and different people from around the world. It’s so amazing, and I am really enjoying myself.

What is a life lesson you’ve learnt along the way?
