This qualification is designed for learners who want to acquire further knowledge of different possible careers in tourism and gain transferable skills in customer service, sustainability awareness, business and marketing skills in tourism and airline and hotel management. The programme covers tourism destinations, inbound tourism, hotels and hospitality, airline and airport operations, water transportation and travel agency operations. This programme supports learners to create an excellent CV and learn practical interview skills for future employment opportunities in the tourism sector. This programme allows learners to undertake further study towards a Level 5 Diploma in Travel and Tourism Management.

Domestic Students
All domestic applicants must have achieved either NCEA Level 3 or University Entrance; completed a Level 3 Certificate in Tourism or Travel; or have equivalent knowledge and skills.
International Students
All international applicants must:
Be a minimum of 18 years of age on day 1 of their course
Have completed four years of secondary school or have equivalent work experience
Have English language proficiency as outlined in the International Page on this website
