              This qualification is designed for learners who wish to acquire the information and skills for working at an airline, airport or as a flight-attendant, including broad communications and customer service skills as well as specific ariline operations and security skills. For learners who wish to gain a specialist qualification in flight-attending, there is an additinal 4-week module for students who have excelled in the course. This programme allows learners to gain the skills for a career in the airline industry and is a pathway towards the Level 5 Diploma in Tourism and Travel.

              Gain an overview of the tourism and hospitality industries, while you lay the groundwork for an exciting career in flight attending or aviation.

              Domestic Students

              All domestic applicants must have completed either NCEA Level 3 or University Entrance; completed a Level 3 Certificate in Tourism or Travel; or have equivalent knowledge and skills.

              International Students

              All international applicants must:

              • Be a minimum of 18 years of age on day 1 of their course

              • Have completed four years of secondary school or have equivalent work experience

              • Have English language proficiency as outlined in the International Page on this website

              This option may be available fees free if you are 19 or under at the start of course and do not hold a qualification at Level 3 or higher.
