This qualification is designed for learners who have already undertaken some study in tourism and wish to acquire higher level skills in a broad range of areas related to tourism, including business development and management, customer service, social media and digital marketing, event management, account management and leadership. This programme provides learners with the skills to work various sectors of the industry, and is a pathway towards completing the Tourism & Hospitality Management Degree.
This course will set you up for a career in hospitality, resorts or hotel management. As well as understanding everything it takes to run a hotel or hospitality business, you’ll learn the ins and outs of leadership, sales and marketing.
Domestic Students
All domestic applicants must:
Have a Level 4 qualification in travel or tourism
Have achieved a high level of attendance in previous courses
Note: an entry assessment may be required. This is to determine your ability to read and understand textbooks and your ability to write an essay.
International Students
All international applicants must:
Be a minimum of 18 years of age on day 1 of their course
Have completed Secondary School offshore, New Zealand Year 12 or have equivalent work experience
Have English language proficiency as outlined in the International Page on this website
