This qualification is designed for learners who want to gain broad introductory skills and knowledge about the sports industry, including writing a CV, budget management, nutrition and exercise plans, and data entry. This programme provides learners with the practical knowledge to progress into further study, and is eligible for NCEA credits.

Get involved in event planning and support at a regional sporting organisation, or a sporting facility for professional athletes.

  • Open to students aged 16 years and over

  • An interest in Sport, Fitness and Recreation

  • Be physically fit, health screening and pass a Police Security background check (where required)

  • Undertake a face-to-face interview or telephone interview

  • Applicants without formal qualifications must meet the minimum requirements of the NZIS placement assessment.



YOUTH GUARANTEE 

You can attend this course for free if you are aged 16-24 and meet the course entry requirements. This course is part of the government led Youth Guarantee Programme.
