Duration in Weeks:
This qualification is designed for learners who want to acquire introductory, practical skills as a healthcare support work, including three weeks work experience at a healthcare provider. This 20 week vocational programme provides learners with essential foundational skills and is a pathway for further study.
This vocational Health programme will provide practical skills and prepare you for employment as a support worker in healthcare. You will also have three weeks’ work experience at a health care provider.
Must be a New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Meet the minimum requirements of the NZMA Entry Assessment.
Have an acceptable New Zealand Police Vet before entry to the programme. If the programme begins before the Vet report has been received from the New Zealand Police, students may begin the programme but may not attend any practical experience at a health care provider until an acceptable report has been received.
