This qualification is designed for learners who want to become immersed in the different techniques for cutting, colouring and styling hair, as well as learning how to sell your services with networking and communication skills, and sales techniques. This programme will transform learners from complete novice to a technical level that makes them capable of earning a place in a successful salon or a pathway into a Level 4 Certificate.

Entry is open to beginners and all applicants are considered however you must be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of spoken and written English.
It is also advisable that applicants have completed NCEA Level 1 (or equivalent) and it is the Academy's preference that candidates are interviewed before enrolment in order to ensure their success.
