The aim of this programme is to: provide individuals with the skills and knowledge of landscape construction so they can assist with a range of core tasks under limited supervision; further develop the skills, knowledge, and experience of those already working in the landscape construction industry in Aotearoa; equip akonga with the basic garden design and landscape construction skills needed to enter the horticulture sector in an entry-level role in either landscape design or landscape construction. Graduates can work as effective members of a team, including communication and interaction with team members and colleagues relevant to a role in the horticulture sector. Graduates can apply knowledge of site requirements, and hard and soft landscaping to carry out routine tasks associated with the implementation of a landscape design.

  • Domestic applicants with English as second language may need to demonstrate sufficiency in English language

This programme is currently only offered to domestic students.
