This qualification is designed for learners who want to acquire essential basic marketing skills, including developing creative assets, digital launch skills, storytelling in marketing and introductory web and graphic design skills. This 32 week, entry-level programme is provides learners with end-to-end marketing skills to enter the workplace as a marketer, or provides direct entry to Year 2 of the Bachelors in Digital Innovation.

This Diploma will turn you into a sought after marketer who possesses design skills in a business world and business acumen in a design environment. Plus we offer 8-10 week work experience with companies like Facebook.

What makes this different?

This course isn’t about endless theory. We’ll teach you real skills in how to develop creative assets and how to launch them through planned, multi layered campaigns. This means you can promote yourself as a one stop shop marketer to SME’s and organisations who are crying out for people who can do it all.
We’ve developed this Diploma in conjunction with a large group of stakeholders from across the business and marketing landscape, finding out what is missing from other marketing qualifications and how we can make this a truly unique learning experience.
You can study this programme as a stand-alone course, which will give you the entry level knowledge you need to get out into the industry, or it can be the first step toward our Bachelor in Creative Marketing, launching in full in 2022. Completing this Diploma means you can gain direct entry into year two of the Bachelor.
Work experience with international companies.

We offer work experience for 8-10 weeks with well-known and well respected international organisations. We are the only institution in New Zealand offering these internships and externships, and they could see you working with powerhouses like Facebook and Hewlett Packard. Find out more

New Zealand Diploma in Digital Media and Design (Level 5)

Applicants must have completed NCEA Level 2 or equivalent evidence that they have the ability to succeed in the programme AND complete an interview with a relevant member of staff.

International applicants must be 18 years or older and have proof that within the last 2 years they have gained English language skills equivalent to IELTS (Academic) level 5.5 with no band score lower than 5.0
