This qualification is designed for learners who wish to upskill in Cloud Engineering, focussing on designing, planning, and scaling cloud implementations, as well as mastering related software Microsoft Azure and AWS. This 32 week programme provides learners who have already completed some training in systems administration practical skills to specialise and connect with leading tech organisations nationally and internationally.

You’ll learn to design and build a scalable and reliable cloud-based solutions that will test your problem-solving skills and build your working knowledge of network infrastructure and security.

This Diploma in Cloud Engineering helps you gain expertise in designing, planning, and scaling cloud implementations. Our Cloud Engineering course helps you master the core skill sets required to design and deploy dynamically scalable and reliable applications on popular cloud providers such as Microsoft Azure and AWS.

Here’s a taste of what you’ll learn:

Assess risks for security in a cloud environment and use specialised knowledge to implement and manage multi tenancy.
Apply advanced knowledge to configure a hybrid cloud environment.
Implement advanced level scripting to support complex autonomous and flexible environments.
Research and apply design concepts to implement and configure a platform to support a multi-vendor cloud scenario.

Diploma in Cloud Engineering (Level 7)

Students who enrol in the online programme will need access to a computer with prescribed basic hardware requirements as per marketing material, a microphone, and a reliable internet connection.

Domestic Students: 

  • 17yrs+

  • Applicants must have successfully completed the New Zealand Diploma in System Administration (Level 6) or equivalent or have relevant trade experience.

International Students: 

  • 18yrs+ 

  • English language competency equivalent to IELTS 6.0 Academic with no band less than 5.5.

  • Applicants must have successfully completed the New Zealand Diploma in System Administration (Level 6) or equivalent or have relevant trade experience.



Domestic students

You can study this Fees Free under the government’s Targeted Training and Apprenticeship Fund (TTAF) initiative*.  All domestic students are eligible for fees free regardless of prior study i.e.: it can be used after First Year Fees Free.

WHAT DOES IT COVER?

  • Tuition fees

  • Compulsory course costs, and

  • Compulsory student services fees.

*TTAF is guaranteed to cover fees for programmes running until 31 December 2022. While the government is still working to establish rules for study that starts before this date and runs into 2023, such as the part-time option of this Diploma, Yoobee is committed to ensuring your entire study period is available fees-free. If you enrol in our part-time Diploma starting in 2022, we'll cover your fees for 2023 even if TTAF funding is not extended.
